Reflection:

What?

In this unit, we were introduced to different subjects such as the scientific method, the Ethics of Research, the Deductive and Indictive reasoning and an introduction to law and government. On top of that, we were tasked to engage in a discussion forum where we had to compare the ethics code to the British Computer Society Code of Conduct regarding a case study. Before the end of this unit, I had to choose a topic for the literature review due in Unit 7 and the research presentation proposal in Unit 10.

So What?

This unit brought some clarification about the scientific research and the ethical aspect needed when getting information from contributor in a study. The ethical code of conduct provides a baseline for professionals to remain ethically correct while performing their duty. After reading the British Computer Society Code of Conduct, I found interesting to compare all the code to my personal work experience. For the literature review, I have chosen Data Visualisation for COVID-19 data analysis. My actual job position as data analyst might help me for this task.

What next?

The concept of literature review is new for me. I will have to research and spend more time to understand better the purpose of it.
